As per the Euromonitor International market report, Canada bucked an important trend toward color cosmetics seen in peer beauty and personal care markets. Canadian consumers are turning to premium skin care products for their higher quality natural ingredients as part of larger lifestyle trends that emphasize well-being and the importance of natural foods. Canadian brand Kaia Naturals devotes a page of its website to listing the ingredients in its products and explaining their benefits to the skin. Another premium Canadian skincare brand, Refresh Botanicals, tells consumers the percentage of plant-derived ingredients in each product.

Deciem (The Abnormal Beauty Co), a Toronto-based beauty product manufacturer, has launched a range of beauty and personal care brands, including six skin care labels. Founded as an online company in 2013, Deciem offers free shipping on orders over CAD25.
