Clinical Dermatology and Evidence-Based Practice

Clinical Dermatology serves as the foundation for diagnosing, managing, and preventing diseases affecting the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. With the increasing global burden of inflammatory skin disorders, autoimmune diseases, infectious dermatoses, pigmentary disorders, and skin cancers, this session will explore the latest evidence-based approaches to dermatological care. Discussions will cover advancements in the diagnosis and treatment of acne, psoriasis, eczema, atopic dermatitis, rosacea, vitiligo, urticaria, fungal and bacterial infections, and other common skin conditions. Participants will gain insights into innovative diagnostic tools such as dermoscopy, molecular diagnostics, digital dermatology, and artificial intelligence for improved clinical decision-making. The session will also highlight recent progress in biologics, immunotherapies, targeted treatments, topical drug delivery systems, and personalized medicine. Emphasis will be placed on multidisciplinary patient care, preventive dermatology, quality-of-life improvements, clinical guidelines, and emerging therapeutic strategies that are transforming dermatological practice and enhancing patient outcomes.
